At Scholars of Hope Foundation – Zambia, we believe that every child has the right to quality education—one that goes beyond the classroom time but includes access to essentials like uniforms, school supplies, and menstrual products for girls. Despite free education policies, many families still struggle to meet these basic needs, leading to school dropouts, child marriage, substance abuse, and other social challenges.
To address this, our Empower a Future Sponsorship Program supports children aged 6 to 17 in community schools across Zambia by providing educational necessities, mentorship, and personal development opportunities. Through partnerships with sponsors and mentors, we are raising a generation of empowered young people equipped to overcome social, economic, and environmental challenges in their communities.
Over the years, we have partnered with various community and rural schools to empower young learners through mentorship, educational support, and resource provision. Through these efforts, we have mentored over 2,000 pupils, paid tuition fees for 200 children from vulnerable backgrounds, and provided essential learning materials to more than 300 pupils—ensuring that every child has a fair chance at a brighter future
In partnership with All for One Initiative Zambia, Scholars of Hope Foundation implemented climate change awareness programs across 20 schools and communities in Mansa in 2024. Beyond education, the initiative promoted sustainability by planting 600 trees, fostering long-term environmental impact.
We have conducted educational initiatives to raise awareness and provide information on menstrual hygiene, ensuring young girls have access to essential knowledge and resources.
We believe in placing young people at the centre of our work because of their creative potential to influence and drive change.
We believe in fostering a culture of honesty that accommodates every stakeholder’s perspective and enables a real sense of ownership.
we believe that every individual regardless of background, social status, race, or culture has the inherent capacity and responsibility to exercise leadership and mobilize change.
We believe in continuous learning of new strategies and approaches that holistically foster the resolution of complex adaptive and technical challenges.
